Hi, I’m Ashlyn.

When I was about eight, my mom gave me my very first camera — a pink Fujifilm X-A3 Mirrorless Digital Camera with a 16-50mm lens. That little gift became my window to the world, helping me notice the tiny, sparkling moments in everyday life, and it sparked a deep creative curiosity in me that’s stayed with me ever since.​​

Around the same time, I started writing my first fairy tale novels with a childhood friend. Together, we created about ten adventure stories, each inspired by a different gem like olivine and garnet. Through those stories, I discovered the magic of using words to capture my thoughts and express my ideas.

I never imagined that these childhood passions would shape my career, but they have guided me to explore and document creativity and the world around me. Now, as an adult, I’m a writer and photographer, capturing stories across a wide range of beats, from major sports events like the Boston Marathon to midterm elections and international economic forums.​
